Blogs

As of today, I will be using this new system called "a blog". Discovered buried underneath the wikipedia link for social media, the humble blog has never truly left us. Tumblr and Twitter are both "microblogging sites" and the Team Fortress 2 desk plant (otherwise known as the person who stops coding for deadlock to change a line of code in TF2) also communicates with the community using something called a "bloug". Inspired by this, and the lack of drive I have towards editing video essays, I've decided to turn back the clock and single-handedly bring back the blog. You can now clap.
So far the actual experience of making a blog isn't that different from making a social media post, just longer, and a bit more html, and also I set up a rss feed so I had to deal with that, and this isn't Twitter, and I'm actually directly typing into the html for this website.
Since microblogging is a thing, and I have bluesky and tumblr accounts, I'm not going to be making posts here that are a single sentence "today I had a sandwhich and then. i droped it :(". thats just not my plan for this blog.
Instead, I'm going to try and theme each blog around a single idea that I've been kicking around my head, kinda a way for me to accidentally trick myself into writing more, and also a way to formally get these ideas out there into the world instead of ranting in a discord voice call for 20 minutes. As for the frequency of updates? I dunno. I'm not gonna try and force myself to blog, especially when I have nothing to say at the moment. I'd rather wait until I have something to fill up a page, and then kinda half word-vomit into an html editor, hit save, and walk away from my computer.
Don't worry though, the future will be filled with my blog posts.
